SPP’s Sunday Top 10 – Best Picks for Practice Owners (Dubai Chocolate!!)

One of the great things about running our 1F and Streamline peer groups for practice owners is that we get to hear about all the best resources first.

Here’s this week’s top 10 picks to run a better practice, do better self-care, etc., along with some commentary on where they’re fitting into my world. ๐Ÿ™‚

First and foremost, I’m SO EXCITED for the new profitability workbook from Julie Herres, founder of Green Oak Accounting. Pre-orders are live and it’ll be shipping somewhere around the end of October. Get yours before they sell out!

If you haven’t stumbled into the Dubai chocolate craze yet, here’s your intro. It’s dark chocolate, pistachio cream, etc. They’re amazing and worth every penny. These will make amazing holiday gifts for staff, referral sources, etc.

Chicken soup for my entrepreneurial soul. Someone gave me a copy of this recently and I’ve devoured the 3-4 page explorations of words we take for granted, like “ambition.” Also a great holiday gift for leaders and loved ones.

Top-notch soundproofing solution that dresses up therapy walls while minimizing sound transfer. Takes about 20 panels to cover a 10 foot wall, but well worth it if you’ve got clients or clinicians complaining about hearing each other.

Profitability is never more important than people, but there is no more jobs for my people if we do not maintain a healthy profit. All my leadership team is getting these funny shirts as a reminder the EBITDA (the accounting term for profitability) is something we can never lose sight of.

My joy of buying holiday gifts for my people and team is equally offset by my simmering hatred for having to wrap 10,000 things. This tool is a must have if you or your practice manager have a bunch of holiday gift wrapping ahead of you.

Sensory stones… how have I never seen these before?! Great to keep in every office for in-session use, let your clients take home with them, stuff in gift bags for your team, or to keep on your desk for those days where the joys of running your practice are making you want to burn it all to the ground.

I’ve been dragging my feet on getting an Apple watch for a long-time. I think this most current upgrade will be the tipping point, especially with features that help monitor blood pressure, sleep score, etc. It also helps track body temperature and ovulation cycles, which I won’t be using, but some of you may find helpful. ๐Ÿ™‚
