Recap of Group Practice Owner Meet-Up – Scottsdale, AZ Recap – Fall 2026

SemiPrivatePractice just wrapped a great week in Scottsdale, AZ, with 50+ group practice owners and practice managers. The week also included the announcement of our 2027 dates and locations (more on that at the end of this post).

The week featured day-long private breakout groups of 10–15 practice leaders from different cities. We structure them this way so members can talk candidly and share ideas without worrying about tipping off local competitors.

Here are some highlights from the breakout discussions:

  • Opening discussion for Streamline / 1F groups: What the actual F*ck is happening with our industry right now, how you’re holding up as a leader, and what strategies your practice is using to adapt to clients’ tightening budgets.
  • Database Reactivation Campaign brainstorm: The five tiers of dormant clients and how to get them back on your practice’s calendar.
  • 6-Month Swerve exercise: Catastrophe planning and prep work for an unexpected 20% drop in practice revenue.
  • Marketing open discussion: What’s bringing in clients, what you’re considering, and what’s turned out to be a waste of money.
  • Workflows open discussion: The automations, workflows, and policy changes practices are implementing to reduce organizational friction.
  • Sharpening the Saw mini-discussions: CRMs, reverse-engineering the profitability required to justify an expense, insurance theory (risk pooling and adverse selection), AI engine optimization, and website compliance.
  • Collaborative peer coaching: Each practice’s biggest Must-Win Battles, Key Performance Indicators, and “How Do I” questions, including clinician accountability on caseloads and notes, increasing intakes and conversions, delegating to other practice leaders, and incrementally increasing profitability.

Some of the top resources mentioned in the workshops:

Ready for next year’s big dates?

  • New York City (April 8–9, 2027)
  • Costa Rica (July 15–16, 2027)
  • San Diego (October 15–16, 2027)

If you run a group practice and have never attended a 1F or Streamline group, we’d love for you to attend one for free and see whether it’s a good fit for you or your practice manager/COO.

We’ve also lowered monthly dues for these groups starting in 2027: $400 for Streamline and $750 for 1F.

Our 2F group for COOs and practice managers will remain $250/month if the practice owner is already in a 1F or Streamline group, and will be $400/month for standalone members.

If you’re interested in learning more about any of these groups, reach out to our membership specialist, Alena Jones, at Alena@SemiPrivatePractice.com.
